I live in a very Jewish neighbourhood, within 5 minutes walk of my house you can get to about 6 different synagogues/shuls.
Today a new Torah was carried behind a procession of young boys carrying torches, a car playing music while someone sang songs - and followed by a pretty large crowd chatting and singing as it went.
As the procession passed my house I decided it was silly to not have a go at shooting it so I grabbed my camera and made a dash for the head of the procession (running around 2 blocks of houses to get there without having to push through the crowd).
I have to say I had a great time. There was nothing too exciting going on apart from the procession itself, but I really enjoyed shooting it. I had a chat about cameras and photography with a young kid who is studying to do a GCSE in photography.
I'm now wondering if any of the local papers might be interested in buying (or even just using) some of my shots. I've posted a thread asking about this aspect here [link] so if you have any input please do chip in.
If there's anything worth sharing I may well post some of the images in my gallery. I'm off to develop the black and white film I shot - the colour one will have to wait until first thing in the morning.
I don't want to look too far ahead - but the slim possibility that one of the rolls on the desk next to me might contain my first published shot is quite exciting for me.
Haha.

statistics say chances of being gay are more than one in ten,
that means there's a forty percent chance that one of the guys in pantera likes men.
